intrade liquidity
anyone have first hand experience with intrade, the online prediction market based out of dublin. i dont doubt its legitimacy, as it is a well-known entity unto itself, how difficult is it to get orders through due what i imagine would be a low amount of overall volume. any thoughts please
I trade actively on Intrade. Some contracts have limited liquidity (e.g. Observation of the Supersymmetric Particle), but I'm pretty sure you could trade 10,000$ worth of the daily Dow binaries without any problem.

I was wondering whether any people here trade on prediction markets. I've been trading on Intrade for a couple of years, got lucky and ended up making a cool profit. It's also something I always talked about in interviews and I think it's a better signal of your interest in markets than paper trading.
Intrade is one of the larger prediction markets platform. You can trade on anything from Oscar winners to US elections. Monkeys interested in options might like the contracts on the DJI and S&P500. I'm a big fan of the daily Dow Jones binaries ("will the DJI end the day higher", etc.), which trade with decent spreads. I also like the flexibility of their orders (limit orders, fill or kill, etc.).
The website has recently changed its pricing structure. They used to charge a commission, now you pay a flat fee of 5$ a month and then trade as much as you want for free, so I thought you guys might be interest.
