Is electronic trading considered front office?
Is electronic trading considered front office? I'm curious about GSET, MSET, etc. The interactions that I've had with them as a customer make me feel like they're glorified tech. Are they comped like other groups in S&T?
I understand that trading at Optiver, IMC, etc is front office.
I feel like I should know this by now, but I don't.
This was somewhat inspired by the FX S&T question, but I'm genuinely curious how these groups are seen within the bank.
