Job Market and FT Off cycle recruiting

I'm scheduled to graduate in December of this year instead of Summer since I still have two classes to complete for my minor. I'm interested in pursuing full-time trading roles at a prop shop/HF/bank, and I'm wondering what I should do to get ahead of the curve. I've noticed that most of the 2024 FT roles haven't been posted online yet, so I'm wondering if there's anything I can do now to prepare.

With many banks cutting trading roles, I'm unsure whether I should wait to start reaching out to people until the job market instability decreases. Should I start web-scraping all the recruiters I can find from my university and cold-emailing them, or give it a couple of months and email them during summer when things hopefully have settled down?

This summer, I have a risk analyst intern position at the SEC, but I'm more interested in pursuing a career as a trader/QT. I'd appreciate any feedback on how I can prepare for job hunting in this field. Thanks!
