JPM Energy Summer Program
I was deferred from JPM S&T to their Houston Energy summer program. I already have an offer from Barcap for S&T in NY. Does the JPM program have any advantages?
Can't speak on behalf of Barcap S&T but only good things to say about JPM's Houston energy office. PM if you'd like to know more about it.
if you want to work in energy and in phy markets jp would be a good choice. They also hire from their summer program so good chance you will get a full time offer if you do well.
from what i understand with jpm hiring where you do your internship is where you get considered for full time, so you may run the risk of working in houston full time. Something to consider
With a high level of certainty, SA's in JPM's Houston energy program will (if hired) be brought on full time in that office. Offer rate is high though so that's an up side but really, I would avoid unless energy/commodities are your thing. If they are, then it's a great place to work.
