Kpler - Legit? Or Hack Job?

Does anyone know anything abt this lot? Going through the recruitment process with them which is supposedly a data intelligence company (obviously below BBG and Refinitiv) and getting worried lots of -ve reviews have appeared on Glassdoor (and then mysteriously removed presumably cos Kpler paid off Glassdoor)...

If anyone interviewed or know anything abt them, feel free to shout out

It’s a vessel tracking data provider.  They sell their data to trading firms and there is some overlap in personnel, as analysts do cross over from trading to the data providers and vice versa.

I don’t have any insights on what it’s like to work there.  But if you like working at a tech company and building out or selling a product, it could be a good fit.  If you want to trade, there’s no real overlap in skill set unless you want to use it as a gateway to become an analyst at a trading firm and go from there.

Personally, I am not a fan of working at these type of companies if finance and trading is what you are interested in.  If you want to build out a product or feel like they are doing something new that’s innovative and exciting, go for it.  But they don’t really pay enough to regular employees to get anyone who understands trading or were really good at analytics, so the commentary tends to just be summaries of data from their product, which don’t seem that interesting to work on and aren’t a particularly useful value add if you already have the data itself.
