Language Skills for Area Coverage Sales Desk

Starting SA in S&T next month and currently choosing desk preferences.

For Sales desks focussed on clients in a specific area (i.e. Nordics); how necessary/ useful is having a relevant language? I have been advised that there is no prerequisite for language skills.

Would just like to know how heavily the desk relies on the use of language skills for a FT role, and the extent to which you'd be disadvantaged if unable to communicate in the language (to clients).

Perhaps it is not a relevant problem for SA as no client interaction.

Thanks
