Let's talk about insider trading

Looking to get opinions of the more experienced fellows here. In your opinion, how much insider trading do you think goes on in general? I reckon just spending even 5 years in finance lets you build super valuable networks across multiple industries, it's hard to not know people who'd have some sort of information that would be valuable....

What about those working/ have friends who work in WSJ/ FT/ BBG? like i'm sure those who know whats gonna be posted on the news the next day already have an upper hand.. I also feel like it'd be really hard to prove insider trading since innocent until proven guilty... lmao everyone memes nancy pelosi but why isn't anyone doing anything about it??
