Living in Bushwick with white collar job in trading

I heard it poppin' in Bushwick as an incoming analyst graduating in Dec. Can save money for the first 2-3 years living here which takes less than 30 minutes to Tribeca and then I can save for a down payment. Is this the right mindset, did others think this through too? TIA
