I spoke with a friend in the industry and he said I would probably have to go into Middle Office after I graduate my MBA since I dont have prior experience. I was hoping to get an internship this summer to make up for the lack of experience. Do you concur with my friend's thought?

I meant next summer. I start my mba this fall. I want to get into the Sales side. Not sure which desk. I am an insurance sales underwriter.
