MS Institutional Equity Campus Interview! Help!
Hi,
I am a sophomore and just found out that I got an on-campus interview for Morgan Stanley's Sales & Trading: Institutional Equity division next week. I was wondering, what type of questions should I expect, and how should I best prepare over the next week? Keep in mind this is on-campus and not a super-day interview.
Thanks!

Hey guys,
Did a bit of searching on MS institutional equity but didn't find any significant answers to my questions. I have an interview coming up so any help would be appreciated.
1) Would this be considered a front office position? and it what division, sales and trading, which is ultimately part of the investment banking arm?
2) does it matter where you do institutional equity, so is new york better exposure compared to chicago.
3) How does salary look during your 1st, 2nd, 3rd years?
4) What types of exit ops are there?
Here is the description of the internship..
Responsibilities: • Attend the morning equity call and then aid the team in conveying the firm's views • Help market Morgan Stanley product and execute the administrative tasks that enable a successful team. • The intern will have access to each team member and will sit on the MS sales & trading desk. • The internship will help build networking and relationship building skills, stock market intelligence, and receive exposure to capital market transactions.
it seems very basic and more like an execution based internship, but what would i know.
That's the equity S&T division... good luck!
1) That is the equities S&T division. It is front office.
2) New York > Chicago, Chicago is a regional office and is more fixed income than anything.
3) Street. 70 base, 10-15 signing, bonus = .4-.7 multiple of base.
4) Exit from trading roles would be trading positions at buy side equity play shops, sales you can only move up or move over to trading, then pursue exits.
Thanks! If you dont mind me asking are you speaking from personal experience, or from contacts.
I had no idea the bonus was close to that of ibanking numbers
