why all the secrecy? they hand out sheets with all the recruiters contact info at all info-sessions, so plenty of people should know. what division?

No real secret, just read an article about a hiring push they are making on their FX and rates desk and wanted to drop them a line.

Ok, you are looking for the Fixed Income recruiting team. Yes they are looking for 30 sales people in FX and 40 in rates. But this is not really a campus recruiting effort.

The key to getting one of these roles would be to actually contact one of their ED's in FX sales. Recruiters are just going to facilitate the requests of the desk professionals.

Let me know if you have any particular questions though.

As I've said to some of the folks who PM'd me, this is NOT a campus recruiting effort.

The reason for this uptick in FX hiring is because they want to make a real run at UBS in the FX rankings and the best time to strike is when they're brand is somewhat damaged. This is why they are looking for candidates who already have well developed institutional client relationships in order to eat into the UBS client base.

This also explains why its specifically sales they are looking at.

Furthermore, it is highly intrusive to call "CS headquarters" and ask for a Campus Recruiter no less, for this role:

  1. they'll know you're a kid and you've damaged your credibility right away
  2. they really prefer you email and inquire about a role

Which specifically are you interested in? Are you still an undergraduate?
