Not trading but markets related

I’m an incoming final year undergraduate at a UK semi target university, looking to potentially build a career in interdealer broking markets, as well as applying to the usual S&T roles.

I’ve spent time at a FTSE 250 broker previously, and am just coming off of a year as an oil market analyst at a leading shipbroker, so I’d love to get any advice as to how best show my experience and stand out from the crowd when applying to a career in the markets.

I understand brokers often don’t have grad schemes, so would I be applying to desk assistant/trainee roles? Or would my year or so work experience mean I apply as a junior?
