Oil Major Intern in Geneva: what's next?

Hi guys,

I just got an offer from an Oil Major as an crude oil analyst, my tasks are: - updating data basis of counterparts of the firm (their credit rate...) - writing financial & market analyses about crude oil, its production etc. - writing notes and geographical analyses (North sea, Russia, Canada,...) - exchange with the counterparts of the Major (commodities house - Vito, Traf',...-, retailers (Repsol...))

I think it is a great opportunity to get a foot in this sector, even more as it is in Geneva and I am in direct interaction with commodities house. As I want to be a commodity trader (I know the path is long and unpredictable), I wanted to know what kind of second internship I could do to strenghten my knowledge and do more "trading tasks" even if I'll enjoy the macroenomical aspect of the first internship. Actually, do you think it is possible to meet traders and networking a lot in Geneva with commodities traders? I guess so but I don't know well that place, ust rumors...

Thanks !
