Pay in London

Hi,

Imp a first year Analyst in Tier 1 BB. In a trading seat.

I've seen a lot threads on the comp in the US but nothing London specific.

Can someone please help me with the rough base + bonus from First year analyst up to VP in £ please.

Thanks

Is there any differentiation between the pay in Trading and Sales?

I would also like to hear the numbers for the UK.

Generally london salaries lower than NY salaries. They were all fixed when cable was much higher pre brexit and haven't been updated. Also NY arguably more competitive so have to pay more.

will be in the ballpark of:

55 Analyst 1

65 Analyst 2

85 Associate 1

90 Associate 2

95 Associate 3

Bonus can vary but expect 50% to 150% with the majority at around 75%

London is in no way less competitive than America. On the contrary, I believe it is more competitive due to the team sizes being so much smaller

I think there's some confusion here regarding competitiveness.

There is both competition on the demand-side (i.e. companies competing with each other to hire top applicants) and competition on the supply-side (i.e. applicants competing with each other to get into top companies).

More demand-side competition tends to put upward pressure on wages, whereas more supply-side competition tends to put downward pressure on wages.

To understand how competitive these teams are we would need to see numbers of applicants, their quality and also the number of spots and then the number of companies hiring. I am not sure we have that kind of data?
