Phone Interview at Morgan Stanley 2019 Institutional Equity

I know it's kinda stupid that I am so anxious in getting a response just 8 hrs after the interview, but if I did pass this one I will most likely be interviewed on a semi-superday event which is set up for next week's Friday. So I probably should give up if I don't hear from them till next Tuesday.

Feeling really bad now because I didn't pull out my usual mastery of Japanese and that could really trip me up as I heard they can tolerate less-than-perfect English but fluency in business Japanese is stressed.

Other than Japanese I did fine with background and behavior questions, slightly awkward before hanging up the phone. Somehow their line delayed for almost half minute so don't really know if they caught what I said in the end (recap and thank u etc. no big deal but still).

I just wish ppl who got passed 1st round phone interview could maybe shine some light on how long it usually takes to hear back for a 2nd round and possible emotional support as well lol. Coming from non-target with no true IB exposure (M&A summer intern in a commercial bank), plus not even speak English as a first language, it really scares me when trying for BB but at the same time I also want this opportunity so bad not only for myself but for ppl who are in the same positon as me to show that we can make it too.

Fingers crossed.

also one thing odd (or maybe not that odd cause I don't have lots of experience interviewing for IB) about this interview is that I got contacted by this lady but she didn't participated in the call at all. Her 2 colleagues showed up instead. but it's nothing like she's a HR person. She's an analyst in the diviison so it got me really confused when I picked up the phone, like who're u ppl what happened to my contact??
