Product, strategy, and analytic like roles within S&T? Is there a future here?

Hey folks,  hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.   I have been reading through the different threads and forums here regarding the future of S&T. Comps are down, headcount shrinking, and overall future is bleak.

These roles tend to focus more on the sales and trading roles, but what do you all think about product/strategy/analytic roles within sales and trading? Not necessarily the 'normal' sales and trading roles you would often hear.  Do you think there is a future here?  I feel like these roles have more transferable skills, no? I am still relatively early in my career and could use some advice.
