Prop Trading - Cold Emailing
Hey WSOers,
I am a senior at a nontarget school and have 0 trading connections. My dream has always been to have a Prop Trading job and have a pretty decent resume. I am starting my campaign of cold emailing just about every trading firm that fits my qualifications. Have any of you ever done this? What is your sucess rate with getting interviews cold emailing?

Alumni connections 10-25%, without alumni connections probably 8-10%. but I have seen it happen and people do like candidates that show enthusiasm.
yeah most firms want to see passion and persistancy make sure you email them back every 2 weeks just to see whats up, no more than that though or youll just be wasting their time and become annoying.. I reaq about someone who simply went into the firm and asked for a chance to prove themselves and that worked soo i guess anything possible
What's your resume like and gpa and which nontarget..? There's a big diff between central Arkansas vs a Penn state uconn Maryland etc nontarget
