I am looking for entry position at prop trading firms. Is there any recognized firms in LA area? or S.California?
And why is it that there are so many firms in Chicago?

there is Gelber.
chicago is an ideal city to trade in. the market open is reasonable, well priced city to live in, the options exchange, etc

the market open time and COL are nice-to-haves but the real reason so many firms are in Chicago is because the options and commodities exchanges are there. Same reason there are so many in NYC - the exchanges.

I was able to find three firms under the list.
