Prop Trading Firms in Los Angeles Area
Hi,
I am looking for entry position at prop trading firms. Is there any recognized firms in LA area? or S.California?
And why is it that there are so many firms in Chicago?

chicago is an ideal city to trade in. the market open is reasonable, well priced city to live in, the options exchange, etc

the market open time and COL are nice-to-haves but the real reason so many firms are in Chicago is because the options and commodities exchanges are there. Same reason there are so many in NYC - the exchanges.
i know the guy that runs T3/used to be Chimera/whatever it is now in LA

Also, doesn't T3 require nominal risk risk capital? is this a normal in prop trading firms? What if you can't afford it?

I was able to find three firms under the list.
