There are several top players in the UK. JS/CitSec/Tower/Jump/Quadrature/some smaller ones. Pay could be from FAANG+epsilon to some really high numbers. Expect a base in the range of 100-150K GBP + bonus which sometimes is = 100%, and sometimes could be orders of magnitude higher than the base.
Is it the same for Dutch-based companies, IMC/Optiver/Flow?
I'm not familiar with them. But afaik the last two have pretty much a corporate structure with "levels", where each level has a defined range. So, there is little uncertainty from what I know.

Optiver Amsterdam used to display their salary for new traders - it was 55/60K EUR base I believe
optiver base is now higher - UK is 105k GBP and bonus is higher (1.5 - 2x+ base) after the stub year of august through december

That is NOT a common bonus for first year traders at Optiver, its only for crazy uears like this. Like you said, bonuses are transparent, and scale linearly with profits.
What is the stub year?
But are these salaries based on some revenue targets or are these fixed?
