Quant Dev Pay at BBs
Hi guys,
I was wondering what is the expected pay for quant developer interns that work closely with S&T at BB. I got one offer from a BB for NYC internship.
Background: nothing finance-related but past consulting internship paid better than the offer I got.

Can’t speak exact numbers but quant dev is typically a supporting/middle office role so pay isn’t stellar. Definitely not as much as a trader
I heard $100k pro-rated for GS. I think this is for all devs irrespective of whether or not you are working closely with S&T. I think the other BBs are still paying $85k pro rated.
FT starts lower than top tech, but you can still reach mid 6 figures like you would in top tech by the time you're a VP or ED. This is not guaranteed and there are lots of tech VPs who are making less than that.

Can confirm the $85k pro rated rate. The calculation was based on 60 hours/weeks for S&T which made the hourly pay in the contract quote quite low...
Do you guys think quant dev easily go past 60 every week, or lower compared to trading desk interns?

Most strat interns at GS work 8-8 or less with no weekend work
