Question about Background Check

Hi WSO,

I have been asked to submit a background check for my summer internship, and I have a question about it. I was interning last semester and on my resume I had written october to present for how long I worked, since I was working and actively recruiting at other places. I stopped working there in January, but the resume they have still says october to present, so during the background check the times will be off. Should I email them and let them know of the updated length of work?

Best,

Didn't they make you fill out dates on a background check portal for the firm they use to conduct the background check? They will use that, not necessarily the resume

No, I just had to fill out a sheet with info on my SSN and DOB, but I didn't give any contact info. This check is also outsourced to a third party vendor, so i'm unsure of how they will conduct it.

I personally don't think it is that big of a deal. I think you're fine and if there are any red flags they will ask you to clarify themselves. Is this a BB or MM? I have had a portal that asked me to list dates for the background check but I am at a BB so might be different for others
