Rates Sales at BB vs Power Trading at utility

Hi all,

I have an opportunity to join a Rates Sales desk at a top BB bank (off-cycle internship), but would be leaving a Grad role in power trading at a utility to do so.

For those currently in Rates Sales: how do you view the business today? Are you still bullish on the long-term career prospects, compensation progression and exit opportunities, or has the attractiveness of the seat changed meaningfully over the years?

Would love to hear candid views from people in the space. Thank you!
