Rebalancing my Portfolio, your opinions?

I am about to get rid of a bunch of my holdings in cyclical stocks, as well as other numerous stocks I have seen plummet throughout the last few months.

Given the following assumption: The US economy will pick back up in May 2009, and we are now entering a sizeable recession. What type of stocks should I buy looking at a 6-12 months horizon?

To give you an idea of some of the stuff I am getting rid of:
MOT (motorola), DRE (financing real estate), KIM (real estate), YHOO, CREAF
The stuff I am keeping:
HAL, MSFT, CS, IBKR, BIIB (some pharmaceutical), WM (Hoping for JP Morgan to buy them out)

The future of my portfolio:
I was thinking food and cheap stuff like Wall Mart (WMT)
Also the medical sector like Covidien (COV)
Some disgusting fast food like IHop (IHP)
A nice little bank in the money transfer business Western Union (WU)
Cheap cars like Hyundai

I will start looking at foreign companies listed in the US as well to get some diversification.

Comments, inputs, all is welcome. Particular stocks you want to pitch, or just general sectors of the economy you want to talk about.
