Renege on S&T Job

Hey -

So I have signed an offer to a major bank in a Sales & Trading role, starting in a substantial amount of time. However, I have recently reconsidered the career and may jump to a new industry in my current country (I am not a US resident).

How do you guys feel about the best way to renege this offer if that's what I decide? I know it's a terrible thing to do, but honestly I didn't expect to be in my current situation. Any major consequences you can identify?

Thanks, HM

Renege and don't look back, especially since it's in another country, shouldn't burn too many bridges. If you are dead set on your reconsidered career then it doesn't matter if you burn the bridges, because you won't even be in the industry.
