Renege Research offer for S&T at a BB?

Hi all,

I have completed a summer internship in Research at DB in Sydney, Australia. I recieved a FT grad offer to start next year, and have already signed the contract.

However, I really want to be in S&T. Would it be stupid of me to apply for graduate positions at other BB's in Sydney for S&T and then renege on the DB offer if I am successful? Would it be more prudent to suck it up, work at DB in Research and try and move across as soon as possible?

Thanks for your advice all!

It's your call. I would be very careful with reneging. If you are going to do it, make sure your own bank doesn't find out you are interviewing somewhere else, otherwise you may end up with no offers at all.
