Rising junior Semi Target 2025

I’m a rising junior at a semi target (IVY). I have a 4.0 studying applied mathematics and Econ. I feel like I missed the internship window. Any advice for breaking into the industry! Thanks! I have two finance internships 2024 summer.

Congrats for the most ridiculous post I've seen on WSO in a few years.

Here are some highlights:

"I'm the quickest thinker when it comes to evaluating and reasoning" - Seems like a bold claim!

"Used to sit with my dad for fun and do shit like that" - Very insightful, I love when interns do shit like that.

"I run 80 miles a week 50 weeks a year" - Sounds like a lot of downtime you won't be available to work...

Great post, made me chuckle a bit

Thanks for the advice. I fixed it up to accurately reflect what I meant. Appreciate the bluntness but also why you gotta be an asshole. Just a youngins looking to enter into something you’ve been fortunate enough to do. Can I set up a phone call with you? I’d love to speak. Gotta be a little arrogant sometimes.

Do you have any advice for like how networking actually works. I network, I get the run down, I get "goodluck". Then the kid who sits in front of me in class who leaves half the final blank gets the SA because he networked better. I'm a little confused on how that helps, but I know it does. Feel like I'm doing it wrong. Any advice?
