Sales career Paths ?

Hi, I’m currently studying in a financial markets master thinking of doing algo trading / Prop trading further down the line but probably starting with vanilla trading for my internships and then exotic derivatives I hope. However, my master while advanced on the maths side compared to most other specialized financial markets master will not be enough and I will need to do a master’s in applied maths after this one to be able to work for HF or things like that. I fear everything might become overwhelming and I’ve never considered the Sales role so I was wondering if you guys could offer some advice ? I fear that Sales would be not stimulating enough for me (I hate having any downtime whatsoever and joined this master hoping to do trading because of the technical aspect of it, as well as the adrenaline and restless work during office hours). But I don’t know what the career opportunities are like in Sales? In Trading, I can start as a trader for a BB, then go into strategy, hedge funds (I know it’s not that easy, it’s just possible), I could probably switch to asset management for a better wlb, but I don’t know what would be possible for sales. I also don’t know how the remuneration system works : I believe trader get bonus as some percent of their PnL, but do sales make commissions based on what they sell ? Any sort of information regarding any of this would be greatly appreciated, thank you !
