Sec Lending Internship - Am I falling into Ops?

I accepted a role as an intern in Sec Lending in one of the biggest operations for it a short while ago and I'm wondering what exactly the role will entail as I'm yet to be told specifically. I'll be sat on the trading desk with the Sec Lending team - this doesn't sound like ops does it?

Is working on a sec lending desk a proper trading role?

Does anyone here work on one and can give me a summary of the sort of work you do as I'm hoping to leverage this opp into a full-time after the internship and would like to know what I'm getting myself in for before I start.

Thanks!
