Sophomore S&T Offer – Still Recruit IB?

I’m at a semi/non-target and recently accepted a S&T offer at a top BB/EB for my sophomore year. There is an implied junior return.

Prior to landing this, I was planning to recruit into IB as I’m really unsure as to what direction I want to go in my career – though it’s likely somewhere on the public equities side.

With applications for IB and buyside rolling out, I’m unsure as to if I should be recruiting for IB to put myself in a generalist path and not close doors. However, I’m afraid that if I start networking/recruiting again, 1) it may get back to the firm I’ve signed with, and 2) it would force me to renege.

Would really appreciate any words of advice as to how to best position myself going forward. Thank you.
