For networking, should I be asking people to hop on a Zoom call, or just ring their phone number?

I've just started networking, and a VP from GS responded to me. She said to ring her at her phone number. Going forward, should I be asking to hop on a Zoom call, or is this inconveniencing the person since phone calls are probably easier (since you can take them when you're outside, walking, in your pajamas, etc.). I'm asking because I always thought that talking to someone and seeing their face can make a person more personable, and you can put a face to a name so it can be easier to remember. What are ygs thoughts?

not to be weird but im good looking and charismatic so i think video calls would give me an advantage should i do zoom?

Based on this comment alone I guarantee you are neither as good looking nor as charismatic as you believe you are.
