S&T SA Interview (Interested in Sales)
I have an expedited BB S&T summer analyst interview in August and am looking to break into equities sales. This summer I am interning a different BB branch in PWM. How can I leverage my experience in this PWM internship into an offer for the SA position? I am hoping PWM experience will help more someone aspiring for sales over trading since it's more client oriented. Also, any other general tips to really ace these interviews if you are gunning for sales? Thank you.
A tip for your own career's good:
Do NOT go into equity sales if you want to have any career longevity or decent pay.
Why equities? Do you have a reason? Don't focus on equities unless you truly know why, which you don't. Keep your options open and consider equities/fixed income, sales trader/trader.
Do not do equities long term. Do it to eat. But seek another product group down the line.
I'd like to see where equities takes me in the short run. If I see it turning into a dead end, I would consider the MBA route and switching industries in finance. Commodities is also an area I may be interested in, but I don't want to deal with fixed income or derivative securities.
And could anyone provide insight as to why equity sales is a poor long term play? I'm not interested in S&T for the money.

I have been researching about S&T and am pretty sure that I DO NOT suit trading. If I specify that I do not want to be a trader, will the interview questions be different? And in what way?
From what I've read, it seems that sales people have to know as much as traders do. Can anyone clarify?
To clarify, I don't think I suit trading because I'm not particularly good with numbers, do not think quickly on my feet, and am not comfortable with risk.
