Starting Salary+Bonus @ ABCD for entry level merchandiser/junior trader roles

Hoping to get some info on the starting salary+bonus @ ABCD for entry level merchandiser/junior trader roles. Anyone here in the industry care to shed light? Thx.

ADM is 55-65 all in and I believe you get a 5k signing bonus but don’t quote me on that.

Scoular and Lansing (Soon to be part of Anderson’s) aren’t ABCD’s but roughly fall into the second tier in terms of size in grain trading. Their trainee programs pay 55-75k and 55-60k respectively each with a 5k signing.

I’m not sure about the other ABCD’s but from what I’ve heard from guys over there, Bunge is close to ADM. Cargil pays more and Dreyfus pays significantly more though trainee openings at Dreyfus are significantly more rare.

As someone who went through the process of interviewing for trainee positions at several of the above firms, I would recommend you ignore the slight difference in short term pay. Go where you think you’ll learn the most and where you think you’ll make the most in the long run. At a lot of shops your pay can ramp up exponentially within a decade if you’re a high flier.
