Awesome...is this a general fact within the industry? Also, will all the interns do both or will they be placed where HR thinks they will do best?
its weird that they would just title it "equities" especially if its a BB/MM that runs a formal program. in terms of placements (for S&T), they generally ask the interns their preferences and try to fit the desk placements within what they like (i.e. i had to rank a bunch of different desks, and i hopefully get placed on some of those desks)
Yes it does seem odd - I guess it is just to differentiate between the equity/FI tracks, etc. I know UBS does this as well.
