Incoming ER/ST intern at a middle-market bank this summer and looking to prepare before the first day. For those who have been through similar roles, what actually made a difference in terms of preparation? I’m trying to focus on what’s truly useful on the desk, whether that’s specific technical skills, market knowledge, or daily habits that help you stand out early. I have a solid finance background, but I want to make sure I can hit the ground running. Any insight would be appreciated.
