Thoughts on Wells FI S&T (Charlotte NC)

very fortunate to have recently received an offer for summer 2026 for Wells Fargo's fixed-income desk. I know that WF's strongest macro desks are in Charlotte so was wondering what ppl think about the role from an experience standpoint as well as a social life standpoint vs. NYC.

Wells is a solid top 5-10 firm across most of the fixed income universe, seems like new management wants to grow the business so I think should be a decent place to work.

In terms of living in charlotte id imagine its not as fun as NYC but if you make an effort I’m sure you will be fine. If you have any student loan debt living in Charlotte will allow you to knock that down/save some money vs living in NYC an an analyst. Maybe they will consider letting you move to NYC after a couple of years, I know they have some people in fixed income in NYC
