Trade European Markets

Just wondering if anybody has experience trading European markets. I was talking to a prop firm and they wanted me to cover European markets, which means the hours are going to be messed up (2am to 11am something like that).

Can anyone shed light on this especially how you guys dealt with the lifestyle etc.?

if you want to have a life on the weekends, it's motherfucking miserable. to flip the schedule, i would generally pass out friday at 4p, wake up at midnight and go out to the bars, and then try to pass out again at 6a or so. overall it's a very good way to look and feel like shit, all the time. you're hungry and tired all day every day. and then good luck sunday trying to re-flip back onto the night schedule. and that's just the weekend... if you family/kids/whatever or any responsibilities whatsoever during the week, you're outta luck. 3pm dental appointments and meetings with realtors are a real joy. waking up bleary-eyed to an awful alarm at midnight and shuffling into the office like a zombie brings suicidal depression on a daily basis. and then walking home every day, dead tired at noon when it's sunny out and everyone else on the streets is hustling and bustling is hell. finally, chicks find it very sketchy

THAT SAID, if it's worth it, do it. just make sure it's worth it. i did it for two years at a T20 HFT firm, made really good money, and then got off. definitely would do it again. but just make 100% sure it's worth it

i mean, i did end the post by saying i would absolutely 100% do it again

it is utterly horrible, but easily worth it for a good payoff.... whether that's means making bank, or toiling away for a couple years in order to get a great position during the day. just make sure there's a light at the end of the tunnel and that it's truly worth it. in my case it definitely was
