Trading Career Help + S&T offer not sure if it’s above or below street
Have a full time offer as an Analyst 1 for S&T with 90K base and 25% target bonus. No signing or anything. Wondering if that’s about street level. Going to ask about progression of bonus because I feel like my bonus for S&T is low but maybe not.
I’m more entrepreneurial, ambitious, and looking to take a risk for my career. If I were to land an offer at a prop trading shop, should I take it over my offer here? The compensation would definitely be better, but I’d sacrifice job security and networking for comp and a more meritocratic environment (if I’m good I get paid well, promoted faster, and I get to take more risk). It was kind of said that analysts don’t really manage any portion of book risk and I’d get my own section of the book carved out as an associate or at the end of my second analyst year. Seems way to far out and I’m willing to take the risk with prop in order to be trading 4-6 months after training and If I hit the ground running then most of my concerns disappear.
Hi Prospect in S&T - Equities, no, I never sleep and so I can respond to any lonely threads (like this one) at all hours of the night. Impressive, I know ;-)

I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.
