Trading Desk Operations Intern - Jane Street

I recently received a notification from Jane Street for their Trading Desk Operations role. The job description states that you support the infrastructure behind trading, so definitely more of an operations role. The internship pays well, but I'm curious as to what the exit ops look like with this role?

I'm wondering if this kind of role can help me go into PE, go into MBB, or perhaps be good for getting my MBA? Let me know your guys' thoughts.

Execution trader, trade ops, s&t, maybe something trading data-related

No. If anything, you could maybe pivot to a s&t role later on, but it's a completely different skillset.

None of the exit ops you listed are actually exit ops. Trade Ops can lateral to another Trade Ops position at a HF or prop.

Would Trade Ops role work for someone who has 0 background experience in the field?
