Trading oppurtunities (canadian target)

Hey guys, first post on this forum.

I'm a college freshman from the great white north (target school) that is very passionate about financial markets and trading. I'm seeking some advice on the steps I should take in securing a trading job at a BB, boutique or hedge fund. I have been trading in the markets since the age of 13 with a great amount of success and stellar track record using options. My only question what steps should I take to enhance my chances in securing a trading internship/job?

My current technique is strictly technical, but the more I talk to professionals, the more amateurish technical analysis sounds. Is this true though?

Also what education should I be seeking as well (fundamentals? technicals? modelling?) and can someone recommend any books/programs that can give me a head start; that would be much appreciated.

JeenDaro,

Education wise I would check out the Market Wizard Book series. After that check out SMB capitals blog in NYC they have Alot free of videos and articles relating to trading and everything you need to get a grasp for prop trading concepts. Other good books entry level books are by one of the guys at SMB, Mike Bellafiore. James Altucher's Trade like a hedge fund is a good book for a more statistical approach to trading. Tiger in the land of bulls and bears is a good book on the life of Julian Robertson and more of a portfolio management perspective on the business. Brett Steenbager has some great books on market psychology that really touch on the nuances of trading.

Best of Luck!!
