Trading Scene in A Good Year (Russel Crowe)--wtf is going on
a buddy told me to watch these scene yesterday bc he didnt know what was going on. they show crowe in what looks like a sell side trading floor (trading floor setup lots of people sitting down etc). when crowe tells his trader to start buying, the entire floor goes into a frenzy and everyone stands up, starts screaming and using all sorts of hand motions like they are on the floor of an exchange. was this done just for effect and to look cool or is there an actual explanation for this?
please enligten me...
But I really enjoyed the movie - Europe, wine, trading, love story .....
i watched the first 15 minutes on some chinese youtube then turned it off haha
It's hollywood man, they can't just show a ton of people at a trading desk staring at monitors.
"Today, is greedy bastards day"
the movie made me go out and buy another navy suit for sure
This scene is completely unrealistic. Bond prices would never jump that quickly based on one firm's demand. additionally, the hand signals were a complete joke. and why would he have an entire trading floor bidding up one security?
i did like the rest of the movie though. his sister was bangin
The French girl was decent as well, but the sister was definitely what made me finish the movie. That and the movie was pretty damn decent.

Are you serious? the blonde American girl over the dark French one?
