Transfer to Equities sales/sales trading vs Equity syndicate vs ESG portfolio management
Currently working at a MM Bank with below average IB (think santander/unicredit) in London. Since it's not really known for IBD I only have small PE offers (LMM PE) or the possibility to move to another more known IB (e.g. HL/BNP).
However I also have the oppertunity to move internally to the following divisions:
- Equity Sales and Sales Trading (most likely in the arbitrage team)
- Research
- Equity Syndicate
I'm mostly interested in Sales and Sales Trading, and since the bank already made cuts to the equity team I'm thinking that I might be safe now. However, whats your opinion on that?
