US Trafigura Trading Graduate Program - Benefits

I wanted to see if there is any benefit to the US trading program Traf offers if you are hell-bent on becoming a trader. Have a current offer at a shop in gas scheduling (good history of internal promotes to trading), so not sure if Traf offers the same benefits or more in terms of commercial opportunities.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, the Trafigura Graduate Program is known for its competitive nature and focus on developing top talent. However, it does not guarantee a direct path to becoming a trader. Many graduates in the program do not transition into trading roles even after several years. The program includes rotations that may not always align with trading-specific roles, and there is a possibility of ending up in non-trading departments.

If your current offer in gas scheduling has a strong track record of internal promotions to trading, it might provide a more direct route to your goal of becoming a trader. Trafigura's program could still be valuable for gaining exposure to the broader commodities business, but it may not offer the same clear pathway to trading as your current opportunity.
