Vatic Labs - any info?
Has anyone here heard of Vatic Labs before? And if so, care to share some insight? I know they're a relatively new prop trading firm founded by a former Jump employee but beyond that there's not a whole lot about them on the internet.
Vatic has job postings at my school, and is currently looking for quant researchers & algo traders with heavy math, statistics, and computer science backgrounds. Like you said, the founder used to work for Jump Trading - which is an algo-trading firm. So based on these information, I assume many of the trades at Vatic are also algo-based.

no way that guy made ~300MM. Not possible. Look at total estimated HFT revenue (and mind you, in a liquid product like equity futures it's not like he was making more than mintick spreads) and tell me with a straight face that that makes any sense at all. Hell, take a look at Getco's net income pre-knight merger - do you think Jump was really clearing enough to pay ONE guy that much? Get the fuck outta here.
You are very uninformed. I know him personally. Net worth probably 100mm. Sorry but sometimes the stories are true.
