What Does a "Director-Head of Liquidity" Do?
So through my networking I've arranged to meet with a guy who is - as described on linkedin - "Director - Head Of Liquidity" for a certain bank's US Branch. So that I have a better idea of what this man does, what exactly does this position entail?
Appreciate the help.
Sounds like cash management/treasury ops.
He pees a lot.
^ this
probably some middle office function
He's the guy in charge of making sure everyone is sufficiently hydrated on the desk....
On a serious note, I think Cartwright is correct. Although, if this is a trading firm (or he's in a trading role) it might relate to trading.
Cartwright is most likely right. He probably figures out how to manage liquidity needs and depending on the size of the firm may do some of the trades himself.
