does it mean equities, prime brokerage, delta one, etc are a tier lower ? E.g. 20% less in total comp?
Depends - for example SPG trader make a lot in pnl but doesn’t mean they are taking double what other traders are making, since in  securitization there is originators, sales and research that also needs to get paid from the same pool. There are also certain seat that get so much flow that it could print x amount a year regardless of trader. To make outsized comp, you need to make more compared to your seat value.
Programmatic trading at GS kills it. Also some people on commodities desks will basically never need to work again after this year. All depends on environment etc.
