I understand that Vanilla rate sales& trading involves treasuries, Mortgages, swaps, and vol. what is the rationale of those rate tradings? ---it is not about buying or selling treasuries, Mortgages, it is about buying or selling their rates, right? ---is there any online resources I can refer to to learn something about the anilla rate sales&trading thing for interview prepareation?
