Working in San Francisco

Post college, I would really like to work in SF. Let's face it, CA>>>>>>NYC. My only concern is that the exposure to and quality of groups in SF are not as good as NYC, and as a result it may be a hindrance to my career. Are these fears justified? Please focus answers on trading.

I understand market hours are early over there, but I'm fine waking up early/going home early.
