Not so sure about what you have in mind when you commented no when people are providing you a tried and true way for you to achieve what you are looking for. If you are truly fed up with your IB job then making this switch is obvious at least in london where targets are literally having their recruitment for the mext cohort right now. Speaking to HR just risks your job and recruiting fulltime for a different business is way harder than going in as an intern. You should have these kind of knowledge anyways if you are in the IB business already where grad recruiting is almost nonexistent in london - either OC / SA is a more standardised way of starting as a junior.
