2+1 -> Start-up -> Publics?

Previously did 2+1 at a top banking group and MF PE, then opportunistically joined an early stage start up (think pre-seed / seed) in a founding role capacity. Been here for 9 months and am thinking about returning to investing (for a number of reasons, don't want to give too many details). Interested in the publics side primarily - understand I won't have access to the same set of top SM HF opportunities that I once had but am curious how I'd be viewed by pod shops (C/M/P) and "lower tier" SMs.
