Best way to connect with the correct VCs?

Hi All,

I have recently come onboard a seed stage company which is looking for funding and was wondering what is the best way to reach VCs.

As the company is in Cybersecurity which requires a certain level of knowledge and expertise, I have been finding it difficult to pinpoint the correct fund or person within a firm.

Are there any well known boutique banks/brokers, or websites that VCs commonly use to source deals?

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated

My firm has a growing cybersecurity presence/appetite, and I'd say most of our cyber deals come through personal networks and references tied to In-Q-Tel (government VC), Israeli former-military, or specialized conferences like Black Hat.

If you're looking for specific top tier early-stage cyber investors to reach out to, I'd recommend the following:

  • Paladin Capital Group
  • Sands Capital
  • YL Ventures
  • Team8
  • GGV
  • SYN Ventures
  • Ballistic Ventures
  • Ten Eleven Ventures

We've had a good working relationship/heard good things about all of them. Don't use a bank for your fundraise ever, VCs see it as a red flag.
